Schnellschach: rapid tournaments in Berlin 11

Rapid chess, Schnellschach in German, fills single days and evenings. SC Kreuzberg plays a monthly rapid tournament, and the federation calendar lists its editions from October to December 2026; the Schachfreunde Berlin 1903 hold their Rapid-Grand-Prix month by month; and the federation awards its rapid titles at the Berliner Schnellschach-Meisterschaften in July.

Several rapid events carry a name: SG NARVA's Kurt-Richter-Gedenkturnier at the end of October, SG Lasker's Rudolf-Teschner-Gedenkturnier in May, and the TSG SPREE-Open Air in Köpenick, whose second edition was played in June 2026. Students meet at the semester opening tournament of the HU Berlin, children at the Kreuzberger Kinder-Sommer-Turnier and juniors at the Berlin youth rapid championship. Each entry gives the dates of the editions that were found.
